Wexford is the beautiful Irish county town of County Wexford. It is close to Rosslare Europort and near the south-eastern part of the famous island of Ireland. This gorgeous city is the 13th largest of Ireland’s counties in and 14th largest according to the population. Wexford is famous for undulating countryside, beautiful sightseeing attractions and rolling waves.

Rolling green fields cover the peaceful atmosphere of rural slope reaching to a golden coast where the soft sand and the Irish See are always dancing together. County Wexford is a tourism paradise for Irish people and tourists, too.

Wexford Opera House

Wexford Opera House is the first custom-built opera house in Ireland. This stunning building is located in the heart of the beautiful Wexford city and offers two diverse spaces, the Jerome Hynes Theatre and The John and Aileen O’Reilly Theatre. It offers many entertainment possibilities: light opera, top comedy acts and international tours and amateur drama. You can enjoy a behind the scenes tour where you will see the orchestra pit, backstage areas and artists’ dressing rooms. It is wonderful to experience the acoustics of our two diverse performance spaces.

Wexford Port and its Slobs are located on the south-east coast of Ireland and these are amazing natural havens for many types of birds. From October through to mid-April, the Slobs and the Harbour are home to thousands of geese, swans, ducks and waders. Because of these species this site is a major international importance for waders and wildfowl. Wexford Wildfowl Reserve is a stunning place for a relaxing stroll or active biking. I think this is the most beautiful natural attraction in this area.

Wexford Garden Trail

Wexford Garden Trail’s beautiful landscape reflects the history and diversity of the county. Some of the gardens were created in the 18th and 19th century, others just 10 years ago. These wonderful gardens can be an ideal trip for all the family where you will be introduced to the large range of plants which are grown in this temperate region.
