When the first day of summer sets up you know it is time to get out of the house, leave the warm blankets on the couch, turn off the TV and video games and walk in the sunshine. The country of Ireland offers several summer activities for all the members of the family. The Wildlife Film School

Visit the Wildlife Film School and attend the residential and non residential classes, courses and workshops which cover the several aspects of wildlife film making and photography. Learn how to edit wildlife films, sound recording and how to operate a camera. There are courses for beginners as much as for experienced filmmakers. You will also get information on how to make money with film making and selling footage to outlets.

The National Wax Museum Plus

If you are looking for an interactive and exciting activity, we recommend you to visit the National Wax Museum Plus, which is situated in the heart of the Irish capital, Dublin, on Foster Place. Walk through four floors and explore. There are several interactive exhibitions which will offer plenty of entertainment for you and your family. Visit the Irish Writer’s room then go on a journey of Irish history.

Learn about the Vikings, the Chambers of Horror then go to a less bloody area on the second floor where you will find the Enchanted World for Children filled with cartoon heroes, magic tunnels and a children’s cinema. Further up you will find a tribute to the heroes of invention, engineering and science. On the third floor admire the hall of fame, the legends of theatre, television and sporting. The Wax museum has also a green screen room and a recording studio.

Dolphin Discovery Kilrush

Who doesn’t like dolphins? I would think there are no people as such. These adorable animals almost instantly win the hearts of all who choose to visit the Shannon Estuary in Ireland, a special area of conservation which is home to some bottlenose dolphins.

Attend the daily watch tours and admire the playful dolphins at Kilrush Creek. You and your family can sail out and go on a 2.5 hour long dolphin discovery from April until late October. We suggest you book beforhands for during peak season this activity is quite popular among family vacationists.
